Bringing real-world experience, energy and passion to the Ohio Senate

| MORE

Throughout his life, Summit County native Frank LaRose has been guided by the principles of hard work, devotion to his family and service to the public.

Efficiently managing government budgets during his years in uniform, Frank practiced fiscal discipline, while defending our country. He knows that government must tighten its belt and work harder to spend smarter, not expecting working families to bear more of the burden.

He developed an acute sense of responsibility and work-ethic, working on a small family-owned farm in Copley.

Frank is the Republican candidate for this November's general election. He is part of a new generation of leaders who will restore the promise and ideals that made Ohio strong. It’s time for a new direction in Columbus.

Commitment to his country

Inspired by previous generation’s legacy of service, Frank was determined to serve his nation in our military. After graduating from Copley High School, Frank fulfilled a life-long dream, enlisting in the United States Army.

Throughout his decade in uniform, Frank distinguished himself by exhibiting outstanding leadership qualities and a proven ability to perform under pressure. Frank’s accomplishments in the Army include:

- Attaining the position of Squad Leader while serving for four years in the 101st Airborne Division.

- Completing extensive Special Operations Training earning the coveted Green Beret.

- Two Army Commendation Medals and four Army Achievement Medals for his service globally, including in the Middle East, Kosovo, the US-Mexican border and Africa.

- Recognized as the honor graduate from Army leadership school at Fort Campbell, KY.

- Awarded the Bronze Star for his service as a Sergeant First Class in Iraq with the Special Forces.

Serving his hometown

Frank was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. He earned a Consumer Affairs / Business degree from The Ohio State University.

Committed to preserving our heritage, Frank was asked to serve on the Summit County Historical Society’s Board of Directors. A life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Frank is the Jr. Vice Commander of the Fairlawn VFW.

As an Eagle Scout, Frank learned the meaning of leadership and accountability and he proudly serves on the Executive Board for the Great Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Frank and his wife Lauren live in Fairlawn, along with their dog Rosie.
