LaRose Shatters Fundraising Record for Auditor of State Race
January 30, 2026
(Columbus) – Republican Auditor of State candidate Frank LaRose announced today that his campaign has once again shattered recent fundraising records, filing its annual finance report with nearly $1 million raised over the past year.
“I’m honored and humbled by the broad, bipartisan support we’ve received across the state,” said LaRose. “Ohioans understand now more than ever the importance of uncovering the waste, fraud and abuse of our tax dollars and holding state and local governments accountable for the money they spend. This unprecedented grassroots financial support is showing voters have put their trust in the vision and leadership I’ll provide as our next Auditor of State.”
LaRose reported nearly doubling the amount raised in his semiannual campaign finance report, bringing in more than $415,000 to reach nearly $1 million raised over the past year. His semiannual fundraising total, filed last July, outpaced the comparable and combined filings of all three non-incumbent Republican candidates for Auditor of State over the past two decades. His annual amount raised more than doubled the amounts raised by the last three auditors and outperformed the incumbent auditor by nearly 40 percent.
LaRose’s latest campaign finance report reiterates his prolific fundraising performance, backed by a broad, bipartisan coalition of donors, thousands of small-dollar contributions, and strong ties to both the business and labor communities of Ohio. He raised record amounts in his campaigns for Secretary of State and won re-election with more votes than anyone in the history of the office.
LaRose’s fundraising milestone comes after the announcement of hundreds of key endorsements from Republican leaders across the state, including six statewide officeholders, Ohio’s entire House congressional delegation, the Speaker of the House, the President of the Senate, supermajorities of both Republican legislative caucuses, our next governor and lieutenant governor, Vivek Ramaswamy and Rob McColley, and a growing list of county Republican parties, business groups, and labor organizations.
“It’s clear that our work to make Ohio’s elections more transparent and accountable is resonating with voters,” said LaRose. “We created the first full time election integrity unit, passed new laws to require better disclosure of election data, and successfully led a national effort to more effectively partner with the federal government on election law enforcement. I’ll apply those same high standards of integrity and innovation to the rest of government.”
LaRose plans to formally file candidacy petitions for the Auditor of State’s race next week.
